The dental clinical practice: ergonomic analysis of the sitting posture, 2017
Dentist and Physical Educator Giovana Renata Gouvêa proved statistically in her thesis in December 2017 that the impact of the seat saddle Salli in dental practic is more positive, when compared to conventional seat in some of the studied variables.
The saddle seats used in the study were Salli Saddle Chairs, and the follow-up time was 10 months. The systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to verify whether the saddle seat provides lower ergonomic risk than conventional seats.
In conclusion, the impact of the saddle seat, when compared to the conventional one, was significantly more positive regarding ergonomic risk, projection of the lateral center of gravity, daily problems related to the cervical region, and satisfaction.
The saddle seat was better evaluated regarding seating satisfaction in all aspects (p < 0.001). The thesis can be viewed in full here
